Metabolic Psychiatry for Non-Prescribers

Date: April 12 - 19, 2025

Metabolic Psychiatry for Non-prescribers is a comprehensive 8-hour training program designed to equip non-prescribing professionals with the knowledge and skills to support clients using ketogenic diets as a treatment for mental illness and neurological disorders.

The course provides an in-depth understanding of metabolic psychiatry, ketogenic diets, and their role in mental health. It addresses common misconceptions, reviews key studies and research, and discusses ethical considerations and professional boundaries.
Participants will acquire skills in effective client support and managing expectations. They will learn to assist the treatment team in monitoring potentiation effects, guide clients in self-advocacy, and be well prepared to directly consult with prescribers as needed. Special emphasis will be given to promoting healthy behavior change.

The training includes case studies, role-play exercises, and skill-building activities to provide practical examples and hands-on experience.

*This training does not teach how to administer, supervise, or implement a ketogenic diet*
